Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine developed over 3000 years ago. This form of treatment involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. The goal is to insert these needles into specific points to balance a person’s energy or Qi. Illness is thought to be a consequence of the imbalance of yin and yang forces and the disruption of Qi flow throughout the meridians or pathways in the human body. Therefore, if these become more balanced through acupuncture the body can function at a higher level to relieve some illnesses.
