Adjustment Techniques
Manual Diversified
Manual or Diversified Adjustments are performed by the doctor using their hands. The doctor may also use a dropping mechanism built into the table to assist in the adjustment, part of the Thompson Technique. The doctor uses palpation and specific checks to determine where and how to adjust the spine. This form of care is very popular in our office with adults and children alike.

Flexion Distraction
Flexion Distraction is a technique used by many chiropractors for pain relief related to lower back complaints from disc bulges to spinal stenosis. Research has shown this to be effective in helping to decrease pain related to these pathologies. A specialized table is required that facilitates in stretching the spine and isolating specific areas.
Activator
Instrument Assisted Adjustments are performed by the doctor using an instrument called an Activator. (Some patients also call it a thumper.) The Doctor uses palpation and specific leg checks to determine where and how to adjust the spine and extremities. This form of care is popular with patients who need or prefer a more gentle approach without the “popping” sound.
